The Future of Aston Martin | RatedCars.ca
As we all know by now Aston Martin has been working on a Hypercar like no other, the AM-RB 001. We were lucky enough to attend the Canadian International Auto show this year for media day, during which Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer officially revealed the AM-RB 001 to North America and discussed Aston Martins future.
This project is a collaboration between Aston Martin and Redbull Racing, hence the name. AM for Aston Martin, RB for Redbull Racing and 001 representing their first concept. Don’t worry as Aston Martin promised that this is only a temporary name and it will be replaced soon. This sleek Hypercar is going to be powered by a naturally aspirated v12 sending power to the rear wheels. How much power you ask? Nearly 1,000 horsepower. Along with a power to weight ratio of 1:1 Aston Martin plans on giving Ferrari, Porsche and Mclaren a run for their money. The AM-RB 001 is going to be nothing less than what a Hypercar should be. Insane performance, a price tag that can buy 6 Lamborghini Aventador SV’s, a sleek breathtaking design and enough technology to send a man to the moon. The hype is real with the Aston Martin AM-RB 001 and we think it will live up to it.

Aston Martin does not intend on abandoning the manual transmission!
Now Aston Martin has been rapidly growing ever since Dr. Andy Palmer has taken the helm of the British automotive empire and he sees no peak. Aston Martin plan on expanding their model range to 9 models in the next 2 years, including an SUV and possibly an autonomous vehicle in the future. Thank the car lords for this next bit of information as Aston Martin do not intend on abandoning the manual transmission. Dr. Andy Palmer promised to always offer at least 1 manual transmission model available at all times!
Aston Martin plans on staying true to their heritage and car enthusiasts worldwide while maintaining their superior quality. It was pleasures hearing Dr. Andy Palmer discuss the future of Aston Martin in Canada and unveiling the AM-RB 001 at the Canadian International Auto Show to help celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. We look forward to seeing more of the AM-RB 001 in the future and even more to hearing it.
